The conference will explore how nature-based solutions can support urban transformation while placing social justice, co-governance, and participation at the centre of decision-making. Through talks, interactive workshops, and panel discussions, participants will engage with real-world experiences from seven JUSTNature sites across European cities, covering themes such as: co-creation and participatory action approaches, urban green infrastructure and climate resilience, co-governance models and social innovation, linking local action to European policy frameworks. On 11 February, participants will have the opportunity to join a guided site visit to innovative JUSTNature green interventions in the neighbouring city of Leuven. The visit will provide a closer look at the stories and processes behind these solutions. Highlights include Constantin Meunierstraat, a community-led greening project, and Leuven Central, where nature-based solutions have enhanced the quality of life in a detention facility.
