This year’s annual European Energy Communities Forum will take place in Jūrmala, Latvia, on 5-7 May 2026.
This year, inspired by the resilience and creativity of rural communities, and grounded in the work of the Latvian Rural Forum, we’ll come together to connect people, places, and ideas – weaving a collective path towards a hopeful future.
A three-day event full of workshops, exchanges, and activities. We’ll meet, discuss and strategise on ways to grow the energy democracy movement and unlock its full potential. Projects will gain tools and insights to develop their energy communities through diverse training sessions. Policy sessions will explore emerging challenges and opportunities, from the local to the European level.
We warmly invite our members and allies to join us at the Forum, to exchange ideas with colleagues from across Europe, learn together, and get inspired.
Applications are open until 22 February 2026.
This event will be organised with the support of the European Climate Foundation.
Alongside the European Energy Communities Forum, REScoop.eu will host its Annual General Meeting on 7 May 2026, where we will look back at the past year, discuss what's to come, and approve the annual budget. Together with our members, we aim to shape the federation’s direction. Further details on the agenda, voting procedure, and mandates will follow early 2026. For now, please save the date.
