The Low Carbon Strategy & Performance Analyst is an essential part of the team; providing robust, environmental & technical services for differentiated offers and supporting the low carbon strategy development for C&P.

The carbon management team reports into the SVP Portfolio and Integration. We are looking for a candidate with deep technical expertise and carbon management experience who is enthusiastic to join this small passionate team, energised by rolling up their sleeves to shape this extraordinary mandate.

What this role will be doing!

  • Support the development of low carbon strategies across C&P business (low carbon fuels, electric vehicles, hydrogen etc.);
  • Technical Green-House Gas (GHG) calculations and forecasting for C&P;
  • Analysis of regulatory landscape and impact on businesses;
  • Supporting the business with ad-hoc analysis and carbon impact of various investments;
  • Review of internal and external policy documents and input into strategy;
  • Supporting the offer development team on technical aspects of environmental and claims and offset backed offers.

What we need from you!

  • Extensive experience in GHG management and sustainability;
  • Knowledge of the energy industry and decarbonisation pathways for fuels;
  • Knowledge of carbon lifecycle foot-printing and carbon accounting practices;
  • Strong understanding of technical GHG calculations;
  • Strategy development;
  • Knowledge of the voluntary carbon offset market;
  • Experience in implementing a range of carbon neutral products services to meet protocols e.g. PAS2060.

  • Sets high standards and continuously develops best practice;
  • Passionate to support the team and lead change/improvements;
  • Strong experience with analytical and mathematical skills with strong command of Excel;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, initiative, good judgment and problem-solving abilities;
  • Goal oriented with tenacity to get the job done.

Education

  • Excellent university degree in engineering or comparable education.
