Mission

To support development, construction and O&M department to manage environmental matters and to implement our environmental standards in all our growing renewable energy projects in East Europe.

The scope of the function will be renewable energy projects under Development, Construction and Operatio phases located in Poland, Ukraine and Armenia and possible other future countries in the area. However, this number of countries may be changed at any time though always within a European context.

Responsibilities

Develop and participate in the development of new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in the environmental development of new projects;
Direct relationship with Central QSES Spain – Environmental Dept;
Direct and prepare scoping approaches and initial studies as per ACCIONA standards;
Project field prospecting when required with the different ACCIONA departments in Poland, Armenia, Ukraine and others countries in Europe if required;
Identifying project-specific environmental regulatory requirements;
Coordinate the preparation, review, and editing of technical documents, such as environmental assessments, environmental impact reports and Construction and Operation Environmental Management Plans;
Supporting Public Outreach in support of renewable projects;
Ensure QSES requirements and procedures are identified and followed throughout a project's life cycle;
Assess and check compliance in projects under Construction and Operation in relation to Environmental Authorization content;
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables;
Ability to work in an international context;
The role requires a mix of jobsite and office functions and travel will be required.

Required Skills and Competencies

Degree/Training: University degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Biological Science, Ecology, or related field with a Master’s degree preferred;
Additional Training: ISO 14001, Environmental Impact Assessment and Study training.

Profile

Experience managing renewable projects is preferred. Experience with windfarms, photovoltaic plants, power generation and transmission is desired;
Demonstrated official organisms relationships and strong working knowledge with Polish and European environmental regulations compliance, and knowlege World Bank Standards (IFC, EBRD);
Experience on preparing Environmental Impact Reports and assessing annual cycle birds and bats monitoring;
Must have strong oral and written communication skills in English;
Must demonstrate effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation;
Since the organization is looking for Offshore projects, possible experience in offshore project is preferred;
The candidate must have regular driving licence and shall be available for brief business travels including business travels abroad;
Languages/Level: English/Advance;
Years/Areas experience required: Minimum of 5 years of environmental planning and permitting experience.
