Role Overview
We are seeking a Group Consultancy Manager to join our growing consultancy team in Power & New Energy. You'll have previous experience providing consultancy services in offshore wind or delivering projects as part of a developer.
You'll lead, manage and motivate a team of other specialist consultants and contribute to exciting projects in the offshore wind supporting our growth in energy transition. You will work with our wider offshore wind and in-house advisory teams to provide a range of services and expertise to clients.
This is a dynamic role that will require not only a strong offshore wind consulting experience, but also a willingness to work differently. As a fast-growing entity within the Worley group, the offshore wind engineering team will be looking to deliver projects using innovative business models and utilising existing, and developing new, digital solutions and design automation.
An agile, flexible approach is essential, with the opportunity to be involved in a range of areas and regions from engaging with clients to realise their needs; to delivering to our customers on cutting edge projects.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for leading and supporting growth within a team of consultants, engineers and specialists working across a range of consulting, advisory and project management scopes in our global portfolio of projects and customers.
Accountable for leading the delivery of several of the following activities aligned to your track record and skills:
- Leading the delivery of consultancy and early development services, such as feasibility and conceptual studies;
- Yield Assessments and design optimisation of offshore wind farms;
- Layout development for offshore wind farms;
- Lender Technical Advisory (LTA) scopes;
- Design review and assessment of offshore wind farms to ensure that the engineering developed by the supply chain meets the project requirements and any applicable statutory and regulatory specifications;
- Influencing the strategy for our consultancy offering in Offshore Wind;
- Support marketing and business development activities for consulting services.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant degree or post-graduate qualification in a suitably applicable field;
- Experience in offshore wind energy consulting/early phase project development work;
- Experience in leading study work and developing high quality proposals;
- Practical consulting experience – including scoping, selling and delivery;
- Excellent communication skills including ability to produce concise reports and presentations appropriate for all levels;
- Confidence to work at all levels of a client organization;
- The desire to play a key role in a growing business;
- Existing industry connections to identify new opportunities and leads;
- A good track record in people/team management;
- English is a requirement (written and spoken);
- International experience (beneficial).
