We are looking for Energy Consultants across all grades. You will represent Arup as an energy consultant, supporting a diverse range of energy projects in the future energy sector. Commissions will be across a range of clients, technologies, and project values, depending on your expertise and experience, with a strong emphasis on the integration of multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality technical and commercial solutions. There will be opportunities to represent Arup at external industry events and forums. The role will demand collaborative working with other consultants, planners and engineers to deliver challenging commissions.

Your responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of a broad range of future energy technologies with an overall understanding of how the energy industry is integrated;
  • A consultancy advisory skill set and expertise which could include technology & innovation, regulation & policy, economics & commercial, planning & environmental, and project management;
  • Appreciation of overarching energy legislation, policy, incentives and funding structures influencing the energy industry.

Your Education/Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or commercial subject;
  • Ideally a master’s or other post-graduate qualification(s) in relevant subject(s);
  • Chartered or working towards chartership of a relevant institution;
  • Interested in hearing from professionals with knowledge in offshore wind, hydrogen, utility networks (electricity and Gas) and decarbonisation;
  • A strong technical understanding of a range of solutions, technologies and processes used in offshore wind and renewable energy sectors;
  • A strong interest in renewable energy infrastructure assets and how such assets are managed;
  • Experience in the energy sector ideally with a track record in a consultancy business, though transferrable relevant experience will be considered;
  • Excellent team working and communication skills will be essential;
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines on multiple projects;
  • Highly analytical and digitally literate;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
