Your role will include the following activities and responsibilities:
Lead and develop a growing team (+- 5 people and growing) of talented consultants
Further strengthen the business development in Belgium and Flanders, and at EU institutions and organizations
Contribute to the elaboration of energy and climate change proposals for private and public organizations
Manage with the team a portfolio of energy and climate change consultancy projects
Research and analysis related to energy and climate change topics, including policies and measures, ranging from the EU level to the federal and regional levels in Belgium
Energy and carbon footprint assessment, development and quantification of emission reduction action plans.
Development of climate roadmaps and long-term scenarios and strategies (at the level of companies, sectors or regional entities)
Identification and techno-economical assessment of possible decarbonization pathways
Interpretation of results, communication and reporting according to international standards
Job requirements
Potential candidates should demonstrate the following experience and skills
Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Business/Economics, Political Sciences or Engineering, with a strong interest in energy and climate change related subjects
Technical and financial/economical knowledge of Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energies, Low Carbon technologies, with knowledge of energy markets as a plus
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, by preference in strategy consulting or project management position related to climate change or energy management
Proven leadership and people development skills
Strong sense of creativity and autonomy, with teamwork capabilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong empathy and customer relations management skills
Experience with or knowledge in data mining, data analysis and modeling tools is a plus
Business developments skills in Flanders is a plus
Good communication skills – bilingual (NL, FR) is a must
