We are looking for someone to join our International Energy Providers market team in London as a Consultant/Senior Consultant.
You will work on diverse assignments that may vary from hydrogen feasibility assessments, hydrogen value chain and market development, low carbon gas business models, management of methane emissions, energy transition business strategy and pipeline network evolution;
You will have an understanding of the UK energy regulatory landscape;
You will have experience, either through industry or as a consultant, in the gas transportation sector and gas/hydrogen asset infrastructure development;
You will have an appreciation of the need for stakeholder engagement as a core part of delivering the hydrogen energy transition.
University degree with a focus on (energy) economics, (energy) business management, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent experience;
Preferred first knowledge of power supply systems, grid infrastructure, grid integration of decentralised sources, digitalisation of the energy sector and/or power markets;
3 - 7 years working experience in related fields;
Strong communication, writing and presentation skills;
Passion for sustainability, innovation and personal development;
A team-player who demonstrates the willingness and ability to work effectively in diverse teams and collaborate with colleagues at all levels;
A critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and creative in problem solving;
Knowledge and experience in power or gas systems, pipeline infrastructure, grid integration of decentralised sources, decarbonisation of the energy sector and/or power markets, business transformation and change management;
Knowledge and experience in industry topics such as: sustainability, the hydrogen economy, advanced energy technologies, renewable energy, distributed generation, electricity generation, utility regulation, power/or gas sales through working experience or study;
Able to show a working knowledge of data collection, organisational and analytical skills;
Able to work on multiple projects and show a good understanding of the project objectives and client expectations;
Comfortable communicating and willing to be coached in presenting to colleagues and potentially clients;
Experienced with PowerPoint and Excel;
Willingness to travel internationally where possible;
Eligibility to work in the UK;
Must be able to work fluently in English (written and spoken).
Strong curiosity, and/or experience, in a relevant industry topic such as: gas network business planning, regulatory regimes, natural gas and/or hydrogen markets, digitalisation and technology, low carbon gas products inc. biomethane, biogas, hydrogen, ammonia;
Interest in innovation in gas & hydrogen and pushing the boundaries of traditional approaches to delivering the energy transition, through digitalisation, decentralisation and decarbonisation.
