The primary responsibility will be managing M&A valuations and deals in the renewable sector, from origination to closing.

The successful candidate has experience in working in renewable energy or infrastructure valuations and/or project finance transactions, and will be comfortable in supporting the investment team, advising on the economic viability of a range of renewable energy transactions (acquisition of projects at all stages of development, portfolio or entire platforms, with people and pipeline).

Job Description:

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform economical and financial evaluation (levered and unlevered) of acquisition opportunities, and internal development projects;
  • Work, monitor and follow up of the due diligence process required in relation to acquisition of projects;
  • Collaborate closely with business development teams, internal functional experts (e.g., legal, accounting, tax, technical, etc.) and outside advisors to support execution, obtain senior management approvals, ensure transaction closing and facilitate integration efforts;
  • Support in the structuring and execution of M&A transactions and in the negotiation of Share Purchase Agreement (or equivalent);
  • Prepare management presentations to support the investment team in the decision making;
  • Monitor the market, build and maintain a network with industry professionals and advisors.

Key Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Corporate Finance, ideally dealing with both financing and sale or acquisition of renewable projects, acquired in a bank, an investment fund, one of the Big 4 advisory teams or in a Corporate Finance Department of renewables players;
  • Robust financial modelling skills and a proven track record in managing project finance/acquisition transactions in the power/renewable/infrastructure industry;
  • Familiarity with international business environment;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external parties;
  • Bachelor’s degree major in Finance, Accounting, Management or Engineering;
  • Have a 'hands on' approach, visible across the business, with good abilities;
  • Capability to work in a team;
  • Analytical mindset, with strong problem-solving skills, orientation to efficiency and attention to details;
  • Fluent in English and able to work with international colleagues and counterparties.
