We're looking to hire a Lead Recycling Engineer to join our Lead Recycling team to assist senior management in the organization and implementation of our ongoing projects. The role reports directly to the Lead Recycling Supervisor and is based in Athens, Greece. The incumbent will coordinate operations related with the recycling of batteries and waste management, be responsible for ensuring environmental legislation and provide general support to the Lead Recycling Team.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Prepares and monitors required documentation for imports and exports of hazardous/nonhazardous waste, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
  • Controls, archives, and registers in the database all the incoming materials and updates the relevant purchase records.
  • Preparation of environmental reports and Electronic Waste Register
  • Coordinates the transportation of waste, communicating with the authorities for transportation of wastes and ensuring compliance with the applicable legislation.
  • Provides support to the Buyers by making purchases of urgent materials and forwarding customer correspondence to the involved buyer when necessary

Job requirements

  • 2-4 years of working experience in a relevant role
  • BSc/MSc in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or relevant degree
  • Excellent command of the English language (written & oral) & Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Italian is an asset
  • Multi- tasking, adaptable & willing to take initiatives and take quick decisions
  • Team spirit work
