Job summary:

In this role, you will be at the forefront of engaging senior corporate leaders to take climate action. Your passion for impactful marketing that drives positive change is what this role, and our planet, demands if we are to achieve the goals of the UN Paris Agreement.

In this role you will campaign to businesses to take clear actions to reduce their environmental impact. To do this, you will work closely with colleagues within marketing as well as the regional sales and climate solutions team. You will develop and execute a regional marketing plan that delivers leads for South Pole’s climate solutions services.

We believe businesses will lead the change and our ambitious customer strategy means that you will be engaging with a wide variety of businesses in your market. You will tailor a marketing strategy to engage leading consumer brands, global businesses with complex supply chains or smaller businesses just starting out on their climate journey. Your successful marketing campaigns will support the delivery of ambitious and tangible climate action in your local market with global impact that reaches the communities most often affected by climate change. Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Shape the regional marketing plan for the Netherlands in close collaboration with the Marketing Leads, Regional Head and Commercial Team;
  • Drive and manage campaigns around key topics such as carbon credits, decarbonization road map, and renewable energies to engage companies on their climate journey;
  • Drive the digitalization of our business development and adapt global approaches to regional strategies;
  • Foster our presence on social media platforms in collaboration with our communications team;
  • Execute events to inform clients about climate solutions;
  • Understand and describe key stakeholders and influencers of corporate climate solutions in your region;
  • In conjunction with the Key Account Management team, work with clients to deliver their success stories, ensuring consistency with South Pole’s ambitions for client testimonials;
  • Develop Pardot/wider-CRM capabilities to identify new opportunities for digital marketing/business development.

Requirements:

Essential

  • University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sustainability or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a B2B marketing department, executing a marketing plan with strong sales and client interactions;
  • Knowledge of environmental and sustainability topics and experience of building campaigns around these topics;
  • Demonstrable competence of digital marketing techniques or marketing automation systems;
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic international environment;
  • Organizational, time management and prioritization skills will be essential;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally, regionally and globally;
  • Oral and written skills in English and Dutch.

Desirable

  • Interest in working on strategic solutions for and with clients;
  • Ability to create content/support the delivery of thought leadership within the Regional Team.
