As part of the Power Sales activities of Voltalia, the PPA Sales Manager will perform the following tasks:
Business Development:
Establish the strategy and set up an action plan to generate new contacts and incoming requests: communication, participation and potentially organization of internal and external events such as conferences, exhibitions, round tables, third-part partnerships;
In close collaboration with internal teams, manage and process incoming requests from prospects or customers: qualification of requests for information (RfI), qualification of requests for quotations (RFQ) and private or public tenders;
Establish the first contacts with prospects/customers and ensure understanding of their needs;
Power Sales:
Lead the origination of long-term new-build-asset-backed PPAs (both offsite and onsite), prepare commercial offers; lead the commercial negotiations and securing PPAs for each new-build renewable projects;
Follow closely the evolution of the renewable energy market in terms of consumers, services, offer structures, competition, etc.
Contracting:
Lead contract negotiation with corporate or utility off-takers/traders or others;
Manage contract closing and validation through Contract Committees and Investment Committees;
Manage customer and third-party quality verification (KYC – Risk Credit);
Organisation:
Study national rules, energy regulations and keep abreast of economic and social changes that may influence renewable projects and the electricity market;
Participate to the development and structuring of new offers that should reflect the UK market idiosyncrasies.
Reporting:
Implement sales reporting with KPI on the realised actions;
Update the status of offers being processed and submitted as well as offers under preparation;
Study KPIs and define the necessary corrective actions as well as strategy to adapt to market and client conditions/requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Business school or Engineering/Economics Master’s degree
Interest for the energy, commodity industry and business development.
At least –7-8 years of experience in the UK power market or renewable sector
Good commercial skills and connection among corporate off-takers in the UK market
