Your responsibilities

Our Offshore Wind business unit takes on multidisciplinary and complex tenders. Together with the tender team, you will be laying the foundations for successful offshore wind farm projects such as Borssele III & IV, Kriegers Flak, Norther and Deutsche Bucht. After Van Oord has been prequalified as a contractor for a project, a tender team is put together. Working in close contact with the commercial manager, the Tender Manager organizes and leads the tendering process in the right direction: from the invitation to tender, to submission and to contract award. In this role, you will be responsible for not only a smooth process but also coordination with other departments in order to get to the best and most competitive proposal. You will encourage a pleasant working atmosphere within the team and challenge everyone to pull out all the stops.Other tasks and responsibilities:

• Composition of the tender team;
• Formulate a winning strategy;
• Organize and lead the tendering process, both in terms of process and content;
• Organize the follow-up and transfer of successful tenders;
• Evaluate tendering processes.

Job requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar;
• 5-10 years of work experience in a similar managerial position or as a Project Manager on an extensive multidisciplinary and complex project;
• Excellent communication and social skills and be a real team player;
• Contract knowledge and commercial insight;
• An excellent command of the English language;
• Customer focus and a representative attitude;
• Both goal- as well as result-oriented.
