We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and commercially minded individual to support our Policy & Regulation team.

About the role:

• Supporting Business Unit Lead in the day-to-day coordination of service lines (legislation review; policy training; SFDR & EU Taxonomy)
• Coordinating policy reviews across Europe for corporate strategy projects and bespoke client legislation reviews
• Manage a comprehensive and up to date register of all sustainability and energy legislation across Europe
• Producing reports, presentations and other relevant material

Partnership building

• Liaising with EU and national stakeholders to understand the finer details of energy and sustainability policy and how it relates to our clients
• Support the development and management of relationships with European Union officials and with governments across Europe
• Support the development and management of relationships with trade organisations and international non-governmental organisations

Project management

• Managing team workload to meet project deadlines
• Providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams
• Designing pitches and tenders for prospective clients
• Being able to sensitively challenge, through providing insights, future trends, and articulating the value of sustainability to businesses, with an understanding of future value creation

Business Development

• Creation of thought leadership pieces for communication, to enhance client offerings, and ensure the team remain at the forefront of emerging policy trends
• Supporting the business development of our Policy & Regulation services to a range of listed investors and corporate client base
• Contributing to development of the Business Unit, including improving methodology used and materials developed by the Business Unit

Essential Skills and Competencies for the role:

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area (Climate Policy, EU Policy, Environmental Law, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
• Attention to detail
• Good networking skills
• Strong sense of self-motivation
• Excellent English, ability to speak another language is desirable
