The Energy Transition Manager will play a critical role in (1) managing and expanding EDF’s strategic engagement with oil and gas companies, energy buyers, technologists and startups, (2) unlock opportunies to broaden impact of oil and gas corporate decarbonization pledges, including leading a flagship initiative to drive action at joint ventures in extractive industries; and (3) supporting the scaling of technology to support a gold standard of measurement, reporting and verification of emissions from the fossil fuel industry.
Specifically, they will collaborate with staff across the breadth of EDF’s science, economics and policy experts to accelerate emissions monitoring technology deployment internationally; support industry engagement with regards to policy advocacy globally; execute on a strategy to influence National Oil Companies to accelerate their energy transition; and elevate EDF’s expertise and role in global methane emission reduction through thought leadership.
This role will independently guide, manage, and grow our work catalyzing technology-driven solutions to reduce and prevent emissions from the oil and gas value chain, as well as execute a strategy, in coordination with other EDF departments, to drive emissions reduction across public, private, and state-owned oil and gas companies globally.

The pay range for this role is 63,000 - 69,000 EUR which takes into account factors such as candidate experience, skills, training, internal team equity and local norms.
