As an Intraday Power Trader you will be responsible for executing trade positions in own proprietary intraday trading strategy portfolio to ensure maximum profit generation. You will work in collaboration with various stakeholders and seek opportunities to expand Axpo’s operations into new markets bringing the company closer to achieving its vision for the future.

What you will do

• Create profit by taking positions in own proprietary intraday trading strategy portfolio within internal market and risk limits;
• Develop fundamental models for intraday price forecasting;
• Trade hourly and standard products – base, peak and off-peak in the intraday market;
• Be responsible for Intraday OTC and exchange trading primarily in the South-eastern and further expand it into other European power Markets;
• Be responsible for obtaining cross-border capacity for Intraday power trading;
• Actively look for opportunities to develop and manage virtual PPA for Axpo from renewable sources – hydro, solar, wind, biomass, etc.;
• Develop and maintain relationships with a range of counter parties, TSO’s and local exchanges;
• Communicate and cooperate closely with other trading desks and actively share market information and analysis.

What you bring & who you are

• You have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field;
• You own several years of trading experience in intraday power markets with strong focus on real time trading and operations/scheduling;
• You have a working experience on the Single Intraday Coupling (XBID) platform;
• You have an in-depth understanding of the Eastern European Energy Markets (CWE +);
• You are a team player with strong communication skills, who thrives in a challenging and dynamic environment;
• You are fluent in Croatian and English.
