As our Head of Middle Office Trading, you will be at the heart of our trading operations, leading a critical team that ensures the accuracy and transparency of PnL and position reporting. Your leadership will not only contribute to the success of our trading activities but also play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a trustful, productive relationship with our traders and management. This position is essential to the integrity and efficiency of our trading environment, making you a key player in our overall success.
Your main responsibilities
- Guarantee Consistency: Ensure the accuracy and uniformity of PnL and position data, as well as maintain the integrity of the book structure, which is critical for reliable reporting and decision-making;
- Drive Change Management: Lead and oversee the evolution of our system landscape, ensuring that all changes align with our strategic goals and enhance operational efficiency;
- Department Representation: Act as the voice of the department in internal boards and projects, advocating for the needs and priorities of the Middle Office Trading team;
- Maintain Quality Standards: Uphold the highest standards within the team, particularly in the accurate entry of complex deals, the production and validation of reports, and the stability of Mark-to-Market (M2M) data;
- Ensure Compliance: Oversee compliance quality within portfolios and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) and reporting tools, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards;
- Lead and Collaborate in Projects: Play a crucial role in both internal and external projects, whether through cooperation, leading sub-projects, or taking full project leadership, driving initiatives that propel the organization forward.
Your profile
- Educational Background: A university degree in finance, engineering, data science, or a related field;
- Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a similar role with an international focus;
- Energy Market Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the energy market, coupled with a deep understanding of the energy supply chain;
- Project Management Excellence: Advanced project management skills, ensuring the successful execution of initiatives that drive business growth and efficiency;
- Leadership Strength: Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop a high-performing team;
- Methodological Expertise: Advanced methodological skills, essential for implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement;
- IT Proficiency: Robust IT knowledge, crucial for leveraging technology to optimize trading operations and processes;
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with German being an added advantage.
