Job Description

• Lead the trading activities for non-standard energy products, including customized power and gas contracts and structured deals;
• Design, structure and price complex energy contracts tailored to client needs and market conditions and further develop cross-commodity offerings;
• Prospect and identify leads and potential customers by liaising with originators and sales representatives across MET Group's other divisions;
• Conduct market analysis and price and risk assessments and act as a subject matter expert who can be relied upon by customers of MET Group;
• Ensure all transactions are within the risk framework and transactions are correctly recorded in the ETRM system;
• Develop more junior team members;
• Represent the company at conferences and industry events.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in a relevant discipline;
• 7-10 years’ relevant experience in energy trading with a focus on structured products, cross-commodity and non-standard energy contracts;
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
• Proven track record of successful trading and portfolio management;
• Excellent understanding of risk management;
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members, a plus;
• Experience using Endur a plus;
• Business fluency in English mandatory.
