We we are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring, and capable senior business developer to join our Development & Projects team. In this exciting role, you will develop the business case from sourcing the opportunity up to the relevant investment decisions. You will be the key interface between different stakeholders and successfully managing them through the development process and prepare the decision-making inputs for SterCo and Executive Board decisions. You will be part of an energetic new team with an exciting growth ambition, with the opportunity to not only execute but also proactively shape the future of our business and contribute directly to Alpiq’s ambitious strategic targets.
Your main tasks
- Ownership of business case from project acquisition to ready to build in our core markets among Western Europe;
- Coordination and process lead among the different internal and external stakeholders to achieve the relevant decision gates and get needed approvals;
- Develop a robust opportunity pipeline and maintain a strong business network, establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to accelerate sourcing of business opportunities among our core markets;
- Identify, monitor and anticipate business strategies, market trends, risks and opportunities;
- Be part of an exciting growth story and contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Your profile
- Highly collaborative personality, with the ability to build trust and relationships in a complex and diverse environment and positive energy to shape, motivate and drive success across diverse teams and stakeholders;
- Master’s degree in (energy) economics, finance, business or equivalent;
- 5Y+ experience in a relevant business development function in the utility scale energy industry;
- Profound understanding and proven track record in financial modelling, valuation principles, structuring of investment decisions and relevant risk assessments;
- Strong skill and track record in deal commercial deal negotiation and deal structuring;
- Ability to prepare and write decision making documents for C-Level audience;
- Proficiency in English and fluency in German and/or French; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
