Senior Wind Energy Yield Assessment Analyst

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join our growing team as a Wind EYA Senior Analyst at Ignitis Renewables. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed energy yield assessments for onshore wind projects in the Baltic States and Poland, optimizing wind farm designs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure robust financial and operational outcomes. If you have strong analytical skills, practical knowledge of wind energy technology, and a passion for driving renewable energy projects, we’d be excited to welcome you to our team! Possible locations Vilnius, Warsaw or Riga.

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Conducting energy yield assessments for onshore wind farms to estimate potential energy production;
  • Analyzing meteorological data to create accurate models for energy production forecasts;
  • Utilizing industry-standard software to simulate wind farm performance and evaluate turbine layouts;
  • Conducting sensitivity analysis to identify risks and uncertainties affecting energy output;
  • Preparing technical reports on energy yield evaluations and methodologies;
  • Suggesting optimizations to wind farm layouts to increase energy yield;
  • Validating energy production assumptions during the operating phase of projects;
  • Collaborating with teams to integrate energy yield assessments into project designs and financial models;
  • Supporting decision-making processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Required for this position:

  • Degree in renewable energy, engineering, physics, meteorology, or a related field;
  • Expertise in Wind Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) with proficiency in WindPRO or similar software;
  • Strong data analysis, statistics, and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in delivering high-quality reports and meeting deadlines;
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
  • Advanced in Excel with strong data analysis, statistics, and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

Would be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of GIS and basic programming (Python, Matlab).
