By joining this role, you will actively participate in the daily operations of the department of Renewable & Storage Asset Optimization, with a strong focus on Day Ahead and Intraday trading of Renewable & Storage Assets.

Your role will encompass:

• Contributing to the development of tools and methodologies that enhance our trading performance across multiple power markets (GR, IT, RO, BG);
• Designing and implementing tools, algorithms, and methodologies to facilitate optimal trading strategies;
• Developing key performance metrics to drive business decisions and optimize operations;
• Enhancing existing tools and creating new solutions to improve efficiency and automation;
• Collaborating with IT teams and external partners to translate business needs into effective technical specifications;
• Supporting the department’s transition to algorithmic trading and full automation of asset optimization;
• Taking part in weekend and holiday operational duties on a rotating basis;
• Ensuring the successful daily execution of bidding strategies while minimizing compliance risks.

What you bring to the role:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in the power market industry, with a focus on real-time trading (Intraday, Balancing) as a plus;
• Deep understanding of the regulatory framework governing regional electricity markets;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure;
• Technical expertise in at least one of the following: Python, GAMS, or VBA (Power BI knowledge is a plus);
• Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, Economics, or a related field;
• A postgraduate degree in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science will be considered an asset.
