By joining this role, you will actively participate in the daily operations of the department of Renewable & Storage Asset Optimization, with a strong focus on Day Ahead and Intraday trading of Renewable & Storage Assets.

Your role will encompass:

• Leading the department’s participation in the Balancing Market, ensuring optimal representation of dispatchable Renewable & Storage Assets;
• Designing and developing tools, algorithms, and methodologies to enhance asset trading efficiency across all relevant electricity markets;
• Developing key performance metrics to improve operational decision-making and profitability;
• Contributing to the department’s transformation toward full automation and algorithmic trading of Renewable & Storage Assets;
• Enhancing existing tools and creating new solutions to optimize asset trading performance;
• Taking part in weekend and holiday operational duties on a rotating basis;
• Ensuring the daily execution of bidding strategies while minimizing compliance risks.

What you bring to the role:

• 5+ years of experience in the power market industry, with a focus on real-time trading (Intraday, Balancing) as a plus;
• Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework for regional electricity markets, with a focus on the Balancing Market;
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage large datasets efficiently;
• Technical proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, GAMS, or VBA (Power BI knowledge is a plus);
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Economics, or a related field;
• A postgraduate degree in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science will be considered an asset.
