As a Gas Originator focused on the Romanian market, you will be responsible for originating and structuring gas transactions, building relationships with clients, and identifying market opportunities. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the Romanian gas market, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to collaborate with internal trading and analytics teams to deliver value-driven solutions.

Job Description

• Cover the players on the Romanian natural gas market and support the international origination team covering the Central and Eastern European regions engaged in regional cross-border natural gas activities;
• Contribute to negotiation origination and contracting processes;
• Develop and foster external and internal counterparty relationships;
• Manage internal stakeholders, contract execution and optimization during the lifecycle;
• Elaborate business case proposals and commercial development strategies;
• Prepare market analysis and business intelligence;
• Expand flow business and improve the market access;
• Provide relevant market intelligence information to relevant internal and external stakeholders;
• Actively coordinate among teams, namely Finance, Credit, Risk, Treasury, etc.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field;
• 5+ years of experience in gas origination, gas sales, or trading with a strong focus on the Romanian market;
• In-depth knowledge of Romanian gas market dynamics, including supply-demand fundamentals, infrastructure, and regulatory environment;
• Strong negotiation, commercial, and relationship-building skills;
• Ability to design and structure complex energy products and contracts;
• Familiarity with trading strategies, risk management, and portfolio optimization;
• Proficiency in market analysis tools and basic quantitative skills; knowledge of Python or other analytics software is a plus;
• Proven track record of achieving PnL objectives and driving business growth.
