Commissioning Manager - Biogas/Biomethane

Your Responsibilities
VORN Bioenergy is looking for a Commissioning Manager Biogas/Biomethane (m/f/d) to join our Engineering & Technology division. You will work together with a motivated team for the design, construction, and operation of biomethane projects. You will be a part of the commissioning team of our biomethane plants in Europe. The preferred location for the position is in Regensburg (Germany), with at least 2 working days per week in the headquarter. Other locations could be considered depending the profile of the candidate. For this position, it is expected several days of business trips for commissioning work.
- Responsible for managing the biomethane plant start-up from site acceptance test through full commissioning and operational acceptance;
- Coordinate activity of all parties to meet start-up and operational requirements in a timely and cost-efficient manner;
- Before commissioning, you will prepare the whole commissioning documentation of our projects;
- Oversee equipment pre-delivery inspections, manage commissioning checklists, and provide technical expertise to ensure smooth start-up and ongoing support;
- Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, and Construction teams to develop commissioning plans and schedules;
- Review process layouts and electrical drawings and ensure flawless operation of biomethane and process energy equipment;
- Provide top-notch support during commissioning and start-up, acting as the go-to expert for both technical and operational challenges.
Your Profile
- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or process engineering; technician level education may possibly considered when relevant, outstanding professional experience with a logical mindset;
- Demonstrated professional experience in any related field of engineering of gas producing and/or processing plants, with previous professional experience in biogas and/or biomethane commissioning;
- Proven experience in operation of biogas plants or related biomass handling plants welcome but not a must;
- Basic knowledge of function, logic and programming of plant automation system (typical hardware Siemens S7);
- You think logically and have a structured approach to problem-solving;
- You are both experienced in and enjoy working in project teams with excellent communication skills and are also able to work independently;
- Be a very good in communication, able to evaluate the demands, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria. You always remains calm and professional in the event of conflict with colleagues or suppliers;
- Knowledge of principles and practices, and functions on multi-disciplinary teams;
- Advanced level of English is a must. Other languages (Spanish, Polish, German and/or Italian) are a plus, consider that you might work with projects in one of these countries;
- You are interested in renewable energy, you want to learn and you want to "step on the accelerator" with us.
