Associate Director, Sustainability Marketing & Capability Building

In this remote Associate Director, Sustainability Marketing & Capability Building position you will be developing our sustainability strategies on a site, product and divisional level. You will act as one our key global leader for Lonza Capsule & Health Ingredient (CHI) business. You will develop and strengthen awareness and skills of the CHI community on sustainability and decarbonization topics!
Sustainability Marketing
- Act as a sustainability focal point towards CHI Commercial and Marketing functions (Sales, Business Development, Marketing…);
- Collaborate on a regular basis with our center of applied sustainability to translate elements of Lonza CHI’s sustainability strategic roadmap into clear commercial value propositions;
- Customer engagement: work closely with sales, supply chain and product management to develop communication on our sustainability efforts to customers and foster partnerships;
- Support the understanding customers' sustainability needs and translating into product requirements and value propositions;
- Lead & facilitate customer workshops or audits on sustainability;
- Key opinion leadership: Stay ahead of pharma and Health & Nutrition market & technology trends in sustainability by conducting research, participating in conferences and preparing reports;
- Respond to sustainability requests from the market & customers, working together with the CHI center of applied sustainability;
- Contribute to commercial and technical assessments to drive measures for life cycle initiatives (e.g., emission reduction, water consumption etc.) across CHI.
Capability building
- Develop, implement, and train the engagement strategy in close collaboration with CHI Internal communication and HR departments;
- Develop & implement training content & rollout roadmap (launch, delivery, scale, impact) to improve organizational climate literacy;
- Grow and expand our corporate skills about sustainability topics of CHI employees globally and at country level;
- Develop CHI customers engagement to drive actions on sustainability;
- Advocacy: champion sustainability internally and externally, raising awareness among employees, customers, advocacy groups and industry partners.
Key requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in sustainability or business administration;
- Extensive experience in leading sustainability projects and crafting the backbone of their marketing;
- Ability to travel regularly to our CHI sites, global conferences and represent our organization's leadership team there!
- Working proficiency of English, additional language is a plus.
