Your sunny outlook:
- You will be driving the further development of our power hedging strategy, managing exposure in all Encavis’ core markets. Your target is to set-up an optimized position management for the next 5 years ahead;
- Together with our Originators, you will structure our position and thus exposure management, by quantitatively evaluating different hedging scenarios encompassing various hedging instruments and -periods for individual projects or project portfolios from our European wide portfolio;
- In corporation with other departments, you will be optimizing the execution timing of our hedgings, according to market situations and be evaluating new products to hedge exposure;
- You will analyze developments in electricity markets, monitor long-term price trends and develop an Encavis market opinion as basis for the hedging strategy;
- You will use quantitative techniques to optimize portfolio performance in energy trading and develop new strategies. This involves analyzing and evaluating different hedging products and their pricing, with support from our Energy Risk Management team;
- You will develop hedging performance KPIs and set-up an automated position reporting.
We'll get wind of that soon:
- You have a degree in engineering, economics, mathematics and physical sciences or a comparable field;
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in similar positions such as energy trading, risk management, or the development of hedging and marketing strategies;
- You have experience in statistical analysis and application of stochastic and fundamental models to derive conclusions on risk/return metrics. In particular, know-how in the areas of meteorological and/or commodity market data is an advantage;
- You bring strong analytical skills in assessing risks and developing hedging strategies. You excel at finding solutions to complex problems related to energy trading and portfolio management, and you communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders;
- You are confident in extracting and manipulating data from various sources. An excellent knowledge of Excel is a precondition. Experience in extracting data from APIs, CSV files, and databases, with a strong knowledge of SQL, R, and Python is a plus;
- Excellent communication skills in English that enable you to successfully operate in an international environment complete your profile.
