Head of Structured Trading

Your responsibilities
- Operate as the Head of the Structured Power Trading team with a cross-commodity and European focus;
- Manage a team of 6 traders and have overview and understanding of all positions;
- Initiate new trading strategies and enable value creation; challenge and optimize existing processes & interfaces;
- Identify, evaluate, and challenge input assumptions for tools/market models;
- Work closely and develop effective working relationships with managers, analysts, traders and optimizers across multiple teams and locations to ensure optimal cooperation, information flow and decision making;
- Responsible for developing new products and strategies for the structured trading team;
- Take a leading role in originating external and internal deals for the structured trading team to ensure a growth in the portfolio. Run all processes related to these activities.
Your profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a structured trader in the energy sector. Minimum 3 years in a desk manager role. Proven track record;
- Broad experience with trading and development of structured transactions like options (Gas, Power, carbon etc.), VPPs, xBorder etc.; Professional experience from international trading house or major utility within the trading area;
- Excellent education in engineering, economics, mathematics, or similar;
- Main commodity background should be European Power. Detailed knowledge and experience in the European power market is a prerequisite;
- Strong analytical and numerical skills as well as relevant experience in structuring, pricing and model building skills within the energy markets;
- The candidate must have a broad commercial network with existing and new counterparties. Work experience as an Originator is preferred;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Team player with an ability to work under pressure and to tight timing deadlines.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
