Multiple Locations, Europe

Want to be part of one of Europe's fastest growing climate tech startups? We are looking for a passionate Climate Expert to join our growing GHG Accounting and Reporting team and help us transform every company into a sustainable business, with critical responsibility and influence on our product and overall venture development of carbon and environmental accounting.

As a Climate Expert you will make sure Cozero’s customers are set up for success to deliver on their carbon reduction goals by ensuring compliance, consistency and scientific rigor in our calculation process. Sitting within our climate team, you will help us scale and continuously improve our emissions measurements, with the aim of developing the insights and strategies needed for decarbonization.

What you’ll do:

  • Improve and maintain robust methodologies for product and corporate carbon accounting (e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14067, ISO 14083), ensuring scientific accuracy and alignment with regulatory standards;
  • Source, align, and validate climate and LCA data to support high-quality emissions modeling for Scope 1, 2, and 3;
  • Build and refine models and calculations to automate, scale, and validate emissions insights using tools like Python, SQL, and Excel;
  • Ensure our methodologies and outputs meet key disclosure and compliance requirements (e.g. SBTi, CSRD, CDP, ISO 14083, PACT);
  • Translate complex climate and LCA concepts into actionable product features and insights, working closely with product, data, and engineering teams;
  • Contribute to internal documentation, team learning, and customer education on carbon accounting best practices.

Who you are:

  • You have 4+ years of hands-on experience in carbon accounting, LCA modeling, or emissions reporting across corporate and/or product footprints;
  • You're confident working with standards like GHG Protocol, ISO 14064/14067, and ideally ISO 14083 or Book & Claim frameworks for logistics or supply chains;
  • You’ve built emissions models using primary, secondary, and LCI data, and understand how to handle data gaps, allocation methods, and sector nuances;
  • You are comfortable working with large datasets, emission factors, and calculation frameworks using tools like Python, SQL, Excel, or equivalent;
  • You understand the reporting and compliance landscape and how it shapes climate strategies for businesses;
  • You enjoy working across teams, and can clearly communicate technical insights to product managers, customers, and engineers alike;
  • You get excited by the challenge of using your analytical skills to resolve complex climate data problems for advising businesses on climate action;
  • You hold a degree in sustainability, environmental engineering, climate science or a related field, or equivalent experience;
  • You care deeply for climate action and find purpose in leveraging your skills to drive meaningful impact.

Extra bonus points if you also have the following:

  • Knowledge of GLEC Framework and ISO 14083;
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL and/or an interest to develop them;
  • Experience in product research and development in a SaaS environment.
