Senior Commercial Manager, Partnerships - Power-to-X

Senior Commercial Manager, Partnerships - Power-to-X

European Energy

Søborg, Denmark

Are you ready to play a central role in accelerating the green transition? Do you thrive in high-level commercial negotiations, and do you want to drive impactful partnerships in the emerging Power-to-X (PtX) sector?

We are looking for a commercially minded, analytically strong senior professional to lead the creation and implementation of strategic partnerships (including joint ventures and divestments) across our growing portfolio of Power-to-X projects in Denmark and internationally.

About the Power-to-X Department

You will join a dynamic team of 70+ highly engaged and talented colleagues spanning project development, process engineering, and EPC. You will work closely with colleagues across the Power-to-X value chain, and you will collaborate with the Development Team on a daily basis. You will also be in close dialogue with our CCO area, including our M&A team for partnership and divestment execution.

In the role you will

  • Be an integrated part of the commercial team responsible for building and executing the commercial framework supporting our next projects;
  • Identify, evaluate, and engage with industrial partners and investors;
  • Prepare key terms for potential partnership structures and ensure internal alignment;
  • Drive negotiations of partnerships, JV, and investment agreements for our assets – ensuring a coordinated and structured approach from origination to closing;
  • Bring commercial insights into high-level decision-making forums, influencing strategic prioritization;
  • Represent European Energy in external negotiations and partner forums.

While direct responsibility for offtake agreements lies elsewhere, this role will remain closely linked to offtake activity to ensure alignment between partnership structures and offtake opportunities. You will collaborate with colleagues engaged in offtake discussions and integrate relevant market, regulatory, and commercial insights into partnership strategy.

What you bring

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Commercial Law, or related;
  • +8 years’ experience within either M&A, strategic partnerships, or trading within energy or infrastructure (or similar asset classes);
  • Track record in negotiating and executing partnerships and/or investment;
  • Strong understanding of financial models and deal structuring;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;
  • Full professional proficiency in English;
  • A proactive, strategic, and outcome-oriented mindset.
