We are seeking an experienced Strategy and Expansion Lead for our Energy business unit based in Louvain-la-Neuve. This person will drive and coordinate the strategic efforts necessary to meet our ambitious growth objectives by providing focused oversight, hands-on execution, and in-depth sector expertise. You will lead the coordination of strategic and business development initiatives, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, product, and management.

This role requires strong leadership and strategic thinking, excellent communication and writing skills, deep customer focus, and a collaborative, hands-on mindset. A deep interest in the energy sector is essential. If you’re eager to make an impact, this role is for you!

What you’ll do

  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Oversee and execute business development initiatives, organize advisory board meetings, review our strategy, update the business plan, monitor balanced scorecards, and build and manage partnerships;
  • Conduct Market Research and Intelligence: Perform deep dives into market research and competitive landscapes, ensuring our offerings align with market needs;
  • Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and management teams to optimize strategic activities;
  • Contribute to Go-to-Market Strategy: Engage with relevant stakeholders to refine market segmentation, strategic positioning, channel selection, and pricing strategy.

About you

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power System Engineering, Business Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Extensive experience in electricity markets, transmission and/or distribution;
    • 8+ years of proven experience in business development and/or strategy roles;
    • Experience in a B2B tech company is an asset.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategies into execution plans;
    • Customer focus with a strong understanding of industry needs;
    • Advanced organizational and project management skills;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Collaborative, hands-on mindset.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
