Environmental Coordinator

At Eni, we are looking for an Environmental Coordinator to support the HSEQ department within Plenitude Renewables in Madrid, Spain. You will report directly to the HSEQ Manager.
Main responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation of renewable projects, with a particular focus on the execution and operation stages, by identifying and managing key environmental aspects (PVA, DIA, compensatory measures, etc.).
- Support projects during the execution and operation phases in coordination with the responsible departments, ensuring proper supervision of contractors, conducting regular reviews of the project’s environmental compliance, and attending meetings with stakeholders (e.g., authorities, providers, clients, etc.).
- Advise responsible departments on the requirements of the Spanish permitting regulatory framework for assigned projects, monitor its development, and identify the main stakeholders involved in this process. Provide specialist recommendations in areas such as climate change, biodiversity management, waste, water, noise, chemical/hazardous substances, and environmental management in general.
- Perform regular onsite environmental checks for assigned projects, propose mitigation and compensatory measures, and follow up on their implementation.
- Assist in carrying out environmental evaluations, inspections and audits at company sites and facilities.
- In the event of environmental incidents, support the responsible departments in adopting appropriate countermeasures.
- Implement environmental awareness campaigns to keep employees informed of hazards.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of HSE Management Systems with respect to environmental discipline.
- Assist with HSE corporate reporting through the collection and analysis of environmental data and key performance indicators, contributing to both internal and external environmental reporting.
Skills and experience required:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or environmental studies.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in the wind or photovoltaic sector in Spain.
- Knowledge and experience of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001, with training as a Quality, Environment, or PRL auditor.
- General knowledge of environmental legislation in Spain.
- Advanced level of English, both spoken and written.
- Responsible, proactive, goal-oriented, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage information from a large number of facilities.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare concise reports and presentations.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Spain and abroad.
