Your impact

Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we’re looking for a senior leader in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) to provide leadership to a key growth area, building on our current portfolio of BESS work with Developers, Contractors and Investors.

You will be accountable for tasks and responsibilities including:

• Active market engagement and client relationship management to grow BESS portfolio/pipeline, with support from the Business Development team.
• Leadership on project development, including site layouts and optimisation, concept design and feasibility studies.
• Leading on project advisory and Owner’s Engineer (OE) scopes of work, including tendering and contracting support, construction monitoring and management, and technical services.
• Leading Technical Due Diligence and Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA) scopes of work.
• Building and developing a BESS team.

Here's what you'll need

• Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Track record of leading the delivery of Front-End Engineering and design or Detailed design of BESS projects.
• In depth knowledge of UK & Continental Europe BESS market and key growth areas, and global market insight.
• Extensive design consultancy experience, delivering to organisation such as Developers, Contractors and TSO/DSOs.
• Ability effectively to lead, manage and grow diverse teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain existing and develop new client relationships.
• Experience in coaching and developing junior talent.
• Flexibility to travel to client sites when required.
• Capability to work under tight deadlines while achieving objectives with the ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
