Join Axpo as a Senior Trader of carbon certificates in the rapidly evolving emissions market. Take financial proprietary positions and help to develop analytical models.

What you will do:

• Take proprietary trading positions in carbon certificates or related commodities/products;
• Work closely with our analysts, fostering knowledge transfer, developing in-house models and enhancing fundamental market forecasting;
• Stay informed about regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation in carbon trading practices;
• Provide market access to other desks for hedging purposes;
• Discuss and share views with our other related trading desks (power, gas, petroleum, etc.)

What you bring & who you are:

• Master’s or PhD in business or natural sciences;
• Several years of experience in trading EUAs and/or UKAs within a trading house, fund, or utility;
• Proven track record of strong PnL performance;
• Willing and able to work in an international context;
• Excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach.
