Your impact
With a proven track record in environmental assessment leadership roles on major projects, you will be a leading and integral part of our Environment Team delivering environmental assessments and consents workstreams for some of the largest, most complex, and exciting projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland, for clients including Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), Irish Rail, National Transport Authority (NTA), Uisce Eireann, EirGgrid, Local Authorities, IDA, NI Water, Translink, as well as most Local Authorities.
As an Associate Director EIA, in this pivitol role your remit will include:
- Lead environmental project teams to successful delivery outcomes.
- Identify, manage and mitigate risks to project delivery.
- Ensure application of governance and compliance management in regard to relevant environmental legislation and policies.
- Take a collaborative stakeholder engagement approach across all activity and processes required for development consent processes.
- Promote and sponsor innovation, to maximise opportunities for workstream efficiencies and the ongoing development of our portfolio of solutions.
- Mentor and support the technical and personal development of colleagues and peers, to further enhancing your teams capability footprint.
- Support business development and sales opportunities, promoting the portfolio of solutions that Jacobs has to offer to meet challenges faced by clients.
Here's what you'll need
An active champion of innovative thinking to improve project requirements and outcomes, coupled with a sound and demonstrable knowledge, understanding and experience of development consent regulatory processes in Ireland and or Northern Ireland, with progressive experience of producing and delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) across a range of project types, your experience should include a good mix of the following attributes:
- Demonstrable experience in client facing roles, able to foster and cultivate a close working and collaborative relationship with clients, comfortable proactively engaging in consultation with key stakeholders to meet project requirements.
- A track record in scoping, developing appropriate and adequate mitigation measures according to project requirements to facilitate successful consenting outcomes.
- In-depth project management and governance experience, ensuring that health, safety, security, sustainability and inclusivity is embedded into project and decision making processes.
- Excellent leadership/communication skills;
- Have attained Chartered status and Full Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA, CIWEM, IES).
