Your impact

With a proven track record in environmental assessment leadership roles on major projects, you will be a leading and integral part of our Environment Team delivering environmental assessments and consents workstreams for some of the largest, most complex, and exciting projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland, for clients including Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), Irish Rail, National Transport Authority (NTA), Uisce Eireann, EirGgrid, Local Authorities, IDA, NI Water, Translink as well as most Local Authorities.

In this pivotal role, your remit will include:

  • Play a key role in Environmental Impact Assessment and Consenting delivery.
  • Facilitate the production and delivery of key EIA deliverables for Nationally Significant Projects supporting Development Consent Order applications.
  • Lead a multidiscipline team, providing guidance to EIA coordinators and subject matter experts. Identifying, managing and mitigating risks to project delivery.
  • Ensure governance and compliance management of relevant environmental legislation and policy.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across all aspects of the sustainability, environmental and consenting processes.
  • Maximising opportunities for efficiencies, promoting innovation throughout the EIA lifecycle.
  • Provide mentorship and support to ensure the technical and personal development of colleagues.

Here's what you'll need

We would be delighted to hear from candidates with:

  • A proven track record in the lifecycle management and delivery of EIAs.
  • A sound blend of knowledge across the Water Utility, Water Resource Management, other utilities or Flood Risk industries.
  • A demonstrable track record of developing and delivering sustainable consenting solutions.
  • A thorough knowledge of consenting processes.
  • Preferably, chartered status and Full Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g. ISEP, CIWEM, IES).
  • Extensive experience in environmental assessment and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, project management experience, with demonstrable commitment to health, safety and security and inclusivity, the integration of project legacy into decision making, and champion of innovative thinking to improve project and legacy outcomes.
