Junior Process Engineer - Hydra Project (H2 DRP Plant)

Mission
RINA is currently seeking for a motivated and dedicated Junior Process Engineer to join the Hydra Project team, supporting activities on the Direct Reduction Plant (DRP), part of a new green steel production process based on hydrogen (H₂).
The role involves supporting commissioning and daily plant operations, developing and updating standard operating procedures, and contributing to the optimization of the production process, with a strong focus on OPEX-related KPIs and continuous improvement, to contribute to an innovative and sustainable industrial transformation.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist during commissioning and ramp-up phases;
- Support day-to-day process engineering activities on the DRP plant;
- Help define, review, and maintain operating procedures and technical documentation;
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs;
- Analyze process data and performance indicators to support improvements;
- Collaborate with teams including R&D, Operations, HSE, and Maintenance in a multidisciplinary environment.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience, preferably in industrial or plant engineering (experience with plant contractors is a plus);
- Interest in green technologies and hydrogen-based processes.
