Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Manager to join our Process & New Energy Technologies engineering team, part of M Power Projects Division in Athens offices.
Your role will encompass:
- Management and coordination of the Process and New Energy Technology Group design tasks, in-house or outsourced.
- Management and coordination of the execution of Hazard & Risk analysis studies of the Projects (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessment etc.).
- Participating and/or attending the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for Package plants and Distributed Control system (DCS) of the Projects.
- Design review of the process and I&C design deliverables (functional control diagrams, cause & effect, I&C datasheets, functional descriptions, HAC drawings & studies, equipment specifications etc.) to ensure their completeness and technical integrity in accordance with the requirements of the relevant projects, the Customers and the applicable codes and standards.
- Preparation of technical specifications, datasheets, operation & maintenance manuals, functional test procedures.
- Provision of technical support, troubleshooting and process optimization during the execution phase of the Projects.
- Team leadership, work assignment and performance evaluation of the Process and New Energy Technology Design Group team members
- Collaborating and working closely with the other departments (Electrical and I&C dpt., Procurement, Commissioning and Sales).
What you bring to the role:
- Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- EPC/O&M Turn-Key Energy projects in the Power and/or Oil & gas Industry.
- At least ten (10) years of experience in the Power industry.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language. Knowledge of French and/or German language would be an asset.
- Proven experience in the Power industry, preferably in the design & commissioning of Thermal power plants.
- Knowledge & familiarization with industry standards (API, IEC, ANSI etc.).
- Strong understanding of functional safety principles, standards, and practices (e.g., IEC 61511). Certification or formal training in functional safety (preferred but not mandatory).
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize. Strong communication skills.
- Previous Site/Commissioning experience would be an asset.
