Head of Department - Quality, Environment, Occupational Safety and Energy

Responsibilities:
- Strategic and operational leadership of the department for Quality, Environment, Occupational Safety, and Energy;
- Responsibility for the integrated management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001), including internal and external audits and other certifications;
- Oversight of Continuous Improvement Management, including the definition and initiation of improvement projects;
- Analysis and optimization of processes to enhance quality and safety;
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with legal regulations in environmental protection, occupational safety, and energy management;
- Responsibility for quality reporting to local management and the Hydro Group;
- Training and awareness-raising of employees on topics related to quality, environment, and safety;
- Point of contact for authorities, auditors, and external partners;
- Personnel and budget responsibility for the areas of Quality, Environment, and Occupational Safety, including leadership and development of the team.
Profile:
- Completed university degree in engineering, environmental technology, safety management, or a comparable field;
- Several years of professional experience in quality, occupational safety, environmental and energy management, and in the application of common quality techniques (e.g., Ishikawa, FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D);
- Auditor certification in at least one of the above-mentioned areas;
- In-depth knowledge of legal regulations, relevant standards, and methodologies;
- Experience in team leadership, project management, and continuous improvement;
- Experience in processing metallic materials (primarily steels) and non-destructive testing is an advantage;
- Strong analytical skills and a structured working approach;
- Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and high social competence;
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
