Job Description

• Develop and execute trading strategies in European spot gas markets;
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and price drivers to identify trading opportunities;
• Optimize forward gas portfolios in coordination with power trading and cross-commodity opportunities;
• Manage hedging activities and structured products linked to gas market dynamics;
• Leverage advanced analytics, models, and data tools to support trading decisions and forecast market movements;
• Collaborate with origination, risk management, and analytics teams to align trading strategies with company objectives;
• Maintain and build relationships with market participants, including exchanges, brokers, and clients;
• Stay updated on regulatory and policy changes impacting gas markets.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative discipline;
• Initial experience in spot gas trading, with a good understanding of European gas markets and their interconnection with power markets;
• Background or good understand in gas logistics;
• Proficiency in analysing gas market fundamentals, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical influences;
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages is a plus;
• Familiarity with trading platforms and exchanges such as ICE, PEGAS, or similar;
• Strong risk management skills and the ability to operate within defined risk limits;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
