Your responsibilities
As Director Energy Assets Value Management (f/m/d), you will play a pivotal role in defining strategies that maximize the lifecycle value of our energy assets (all technologies except nuclear) and lead the transformation toward sustainable solutions. The main planned responsibilities are:
- Shape Asset Strategy: Define and implement optimal strategies to maximize economic value and ensure strong cash flow, delivering top-tier performance in the energy industry;
- Unlock Commercial Potential: Partner with commercial teams to realize short- and mid-term market opportunities while ensuring reliable, efficient operations;
- Drive Technical Innovation: Identify and coordinate technical improvements that enhance asset capabilities and meet evolving customer needs;
- Lead Investment Decisions: Develop attractive investment options—such as upgrades, lifetime extensions, and decarbonization projects - through to financial approval
- Deliver Improvement Programs: Manage technical asset improvement initiatives to boost overall performance and competitiveness;
- Champion Sustainability: Define and implement decarbonization and sustainability plans in close collaboration with operational units, supporting Uniper’s carbon-neutral ambition;
- Optimize Performance: Ensure effective performance management and business planning through continuous improvement and operational excellence;
- Empower People: Coordinate delivery of the Energy Asset People Strategy, fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture in partnership with HR;
- Strengthen Governance: Maintain and enhance governance models to ensure compliance across diverse technologies and regulatory frameworks;
- Manage Permitting & Grid Services: Oversee permitting processes for existing and new assets and identify opportunities for innovative grid services that add portfolio value;
- Define Operating Models: Establish optimal operating models and implement tools to maximize value for new and existing assets;
- Guide New Builds: Define owner specifications for new assets and collaborate with growth teams during early development phases;
- Develop Talent: Build and mentor a diverse, capable team to ensure future readiness and continuous growth.
