About the role
As a Sales Trader, your primary goal will be to build a robust client portfolio and execute trades that support clients in meeting their environmental compliance objectives. You will take the lead in developing and executing a sales strategy tailored to your designated market and focus product.
Through proactive outreach via cold calls, emails, chat systems, and face to face meetings you will cultivate relationships and establish a portfolio of clients with whom to trade or broker deals.
You'll work closely with experienced sales traders, participate in training sessions, and receive ongoing support to fuel your professional growth. Main Responsibilities
- Client Portfolio Development: Proactively grow and expand your client base through direct outreach, including cold calling;
- Lead Generation: Build a comprehensive and targeted lead list to enable a disciplined and strategic approach to extensive outreach efforts;
- Performance Ownership: Take full accountability for achieving personal revenue and profit (PnL) targets;
- Trade Execution: Execute trades with precision and efficiency;
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships by engaging with clients via phone, online platforms, and face to face meetings to understand and address their business needs;
- Market Communication: Provide stakeholders with daily pricing updates and market insights through professional messaging systems;
- Market Awareness: Stay up to date with market trends and relevant financial developments to maintain a competitive edge.
About you
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field;
- Experience: 1+ years in B2B sales, business development, account management, or other client-facing roles;
- Proactive Approach: Enthusiastic about cold calling and prospecting to identify and engage new clients;
- Competitive Edge: A highly competitive mindset with a strong desire to achieve outstanding results;
- Sales Acumen: A natural talent for selling, coupled with a relentless drive to find solutions to challenges;
- Key Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities; prior cold calling experience is a significant plus;
- Client Relationship Focus: Passionate about building and maintaining client relationships, particularly through phone interactions;
- Industry Interest: A keen interest in commodity trading and its dynamics;
- Resilience: Ability to perform effectively in a high pressure, fast paced environment;
- Language Proficiency: Native level fluency in German with excellent communication skills in English.
