Job Description:
We're currently looking for a Project Development Manager to join our M Renewables team in Italy.
Your role will encompass:
- Secure land rights: Manage the process of securing land rights for wind, PV, and BESS projects to allow for planning, permitting, construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Engage with landowners: Contact landowners, arrange meetings, negotiate agreements, and ensure that all agreements are signed and legally binding.
- Manage expropriation procedures: if necessary, handle public expropriation procedures to secure project land rights.
- Data management: Ensure that land agreements and landowner information are entered, stored, and regularly updated in Metlen’s monitoring tool.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships: Keep landowners informed throughout all project phases, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Due diligence: Conduct due diligence on land acquisition for potential projects, including preparing cost calculations for land agreements.
- Produce documentation: Collaborate with GIS Engineers to produce maps and ensure required documentation is updated and stored in data rooms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other project team members and the land management team while maintaining an independent work style.
- Provide assistance to the Head of Development Manager in the management in due diligence process for acquisition of new projects regarding real estate topic.
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
- Interact with the Engineering and Legal departments in order to complete the project development tasks.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science and Business Management or Law.
- 5+ years working experience in the development projects.
- Good knowledge of AUTOCAD , QGIS, GSE Portal, Terna Portal, E-distribuzione Portal.
- Proven ability to coordinate data consitency across different portals.
- Strong analytical , negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Italiand and English knowledge is required.
- Ability to travel as needed for project development and land owners meeting.
