About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Environment & Energy Sustainable System Development Specialist to join our “Operations Sustainability, Environment & Energy” team. In this role, you will help shape and deliver our sustainability strategy across global operations by ensuring regulatory compliance, advancing ISO certification programs, supporting investment decisions, driving continuous improvement, and overseeing performance metrics. You will play a key role in supporting our hazelnut operations, third-party operations, ensuring that sustainability is embedded across business processes and supply chains.
Main Responsibilities:
- As Environment & Energy Sustainable System Development Specialist, you will coordinate the performance and follow-up of legal compliance assessments across sites in accordance with Ferrero’s methodology. In this role, you will also take charge of regulatory compliance, managing reporting obligations, permitting processes, and audit readiness;
- Managing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications will be part of your responsibilities, along with acting as a Subject Matter Expert to represent the Sustainability, Environment & Energy domain in boards and committees, with a special focus on hazelnut operations and third-party operations;
- As a facilitator, you’ll foster collaboration within the professional Family organization, promoting knowledge sharing, capability development, and best practices;
- Setting annual objectives, tracking progress, and evaluating the performance of Area Sustainability, Environment & Energy Managerswill be key to your success;
- You’ll also ensure accurate and consistent sustainability data management across reporting systems, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to boost environmental performance, energy efficiency, and sustainable outcomes.
About You:
- You will bring your master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, combined with at least 6-7 years of relevant experience, ideally within the agri-food, hazelnut processing, or manufacturing industries;
- Your background includes a proven ability to implement and manage ISO 14.001 and ISO 50.001 standards, supported by the relevant certifications;
- You have a strong understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks, and evolving ESG trends. You are confident in monitoring environmental KPIs, leveraging data reporting systems, and applying risk management strategies;
- Exceptional project management skills allow you to work independently while thriving in cross-functional, multicultural teams. Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential, along with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
- Completing your profile are outstanding organizational, analytical, and communication skills, together with your willingness to travel globally (approximately 10–15%) and your motivation to grow and develop professionally within an international environment.
