Your New Role – Key Responsibilities
- Conducting environmental due diligence studies for planned operational sites and development projects;
- Advising on environmental permitting and approval planning (e.g. under the German Federal Immission Control Act – BImSchG, and the Water Resources Act – WHG);
- Preparing and submitting permit applications for industrial facilities (construction permits, BImSchG permits) and managing interactions with authorities;
- Project management of site development projects, including budget responsibility and coordination of specialist studies (e.g. environmental impact assessments, explosion protection);
- Supporting WSP project teams for national and international clients, particularly in transactions and the clarification of permitting procedures;
- Supporting project acquisition activities, including presentations and preparation of proposals;
- Close collaboration with WSP specialist teams in Germany and internationally (working language generally English).
Is This Role Right for You?
- Completed university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in environmental sciences, civil engineering, or a comparable qualification;
- Several years of professional experience in permitting management and client project support;
- In-depth knowledge of relevant German environmental and permitting legislation;
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, a high level of personal responsibility, and excellent teamwork skills;
- Proven very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
