Senior Communications Officer

The role
You will be part of a dynamic team of communication and event experts working on exciting projects and campaigns to enhance the visibility of the biogas sector. You will develop impactful marketing & communication campaigns and strategies, build compelling narratives, and ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication platforms.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You will play an active role in the development and implementation of EBA’s outreach strategy, including:
- Developing, in collaboration with the Communications Director, and implementing communication strategies to engage stakeholders and enhance advocacy efforts;
- Maintaining media relationships, including coordinating interview requests, drafting articles and press releases, and organising press briefings;
- Overseeing the conception and execution of innovative digital campaigns across multiple channels, including managing social media strategy and editorial calendars;
- Developing high-quality content that resonates with target audiences and improves understanding of the sector, including mailings, newsletters, website, and campaign materials;
- Designing impactful publications, presentations, multimedia content, and other promotional materials to enhance the visibility of the sector;
- Promoting and disseminating events, webinars, and conferences;
- Implementing communication and dissemination activities for multiple EU-funded projects, working closely with a variety of partners across Europe.
Your profile
- 5 years of experience in communications within a European association, and a degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field;
- Knowledge of the renewable energy and biogas sectors is desirable;
- Strong understanding of the EU institutional environment and a demonstrated interest in renewable energy or sustainability topics;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native or near-native level);
- Ability to translate proposals and concepts into clear, compelling communication materials;
- Passion for crafting creative concepts and bringing them to life;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences (members, policymakers, press, partners, service providers, etc.);
- Highly proficient in Office 365, CMS, and marketing and design platforms such as WordPress, Adobe Suite, HubSpot, and Canva;
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines;
- Solutions-driven, flexible, and a strong team player;
- Eligible to work in the EU.
