Your responsibilities

  • Managing key project contracts (e.g., construction contracts, service agreements, leases); oversee vendor and subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with agreed terms;
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial and contractual risks in coordination with other departments (e.g., Legal & Compliance, Accounting & Financial Controlling);
  • Take over the responsibility for development and implementation of the Contract Management tool for renewables projects (lead the design of a scalable Renewables Contract Management tool as well as end to end implementation; define and enforce a comprehensive metadata model and design configurable workflows for tracking contract specific obligations and milestones; establish data quality controls);
  • Define and implement efficient processes for commercial management tasks;
  • Continuously enhance internal administrative processes: lead cross functional workshops to map “current state,” identify responsibility gaps, update policies and guidelines, and embed streamlined workflows across Uniper functions.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law or a related field;
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in commercial asset management, preferably in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind);
  • Deep understanding of the key contracts: development service agreements, land lease agreements, share purchase agreements, EPC contracts, O&M contracts; Power Purchase Agreements. Ability to extract the relevant information from such contracts for the contract management tool. Skilled in identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies;
  • Strong process management skills: knowledge of tools, practical experience in designing organizational cross-functional processes, defining deliverables, deadlines, communication paths etc. ability to identify the need for a formalized business process and to initiate the alignment with relevant stakeholders;
  • Proven leadership skills, ability and willingness to take initiative to lead in cross-functional projects;
  • Ability to work independently and manage mid-size projects in the relevant fields;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: proactive and confident stakeholder management; understanding the needs and requirements of various stakeholders and ability to manage their expectations;
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and in matrix organizations; practical experience in multicultural environments and remote teams; ability to maintain and develop professional networks in hybrid, remote and cross-cultural teams;
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken), German is a plus.
