As a Senior Power System & Market Expert, you will help N-SIDE thrive in the area of Energy Market Advisory and Power System Optimization. The successful candidate will contribute in delivering consulting and expert services for our clients, become a thought leader in market &system operation topics and contribute to business development around our grid and market solutions.

What you’ll do

• Lead the delivery of Power System/Market services, involving market design advisory and services around N-SIDE power system optimization solutions/capabilities.
• Translate complex technical/business matters in key messages through clear and effective communication (oral presentation, slides, reports).
• Contribute to business development activities by engaging with existing customers and prospects, responding to RfPs, and securing new projects.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes, and actively share insights to enhance our knowledge, consulting services, and products.
• Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including white papers, research reports, and represent the company at industry events and forums.
• Be able to understand client needs and feedback, identify main improvement levers and translate advanced analytics solutions into a business-oriented language.
• Build a strong relationship with customers, ensuring strong satisfaction and identifying cross-selling opportunities for N-SIDE energy products.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of innovative grid and market solutions by collaborating closely with our experienced team of analytics and optimization experts.
• Contribute to the definition of the medium- to long-term strategy of N-SIDE’s Energy Practice.

About you

• You have a Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics or a related field.
• You have 5+ years of prior experience working at a European Transmission System Operator (TSO), or in a firm providing services to TSOs, in areas such as electricity markets, market design, energy economics, capacity calculation, security analyses and/or power system operation.
• You have a solid understanding of wholesale and ancillary services markets, and/or capacity calculation, power system operation, redispatch processes, and how they might/will evolve.
• You can coordinate cross-functional project teams and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• You have strong proactivity, sense of initiative and responsibility.
• You communicate confidently and explain technical problems in a clear manner.
• You are fluent in English. Other languages are an asset.
