Overview of the role
As a Business Development Manager at Sunrock, you build long‑term energy partnerships that shape Germany’s industrial and real estate sectors. You act as a strategic sparring partner for developers, asset managers and sustainability teams, helping them navigate climate goals and future energy needs.
Your responsibilities:
- Identify and manage a pipeline of business opportunities across logistics and industrial real estate.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with developers, investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Promote Sunrock’s brand and services to unlock new partnerships and full-service accounts.
- Understand client needs and develop tailored clean energy solutions, from solar to storage.
- Ensure smooth client onboarding by coordinating handovers with internal Development teams.
- Lead regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to align expectations and provide updates.
- Proactively address client feedback and secure a high level of satisfaction and service.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to stay aligned with all Sunrock service lines.
- Utilize market intelligence and tools (e.g. RCA) to drive lead generation and pipeline development.
Job requirements
This is you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Energy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in Germany, preferably in the commercial real estate sector.
- A proven track record in business development, with a strong client focus.
- Deep understanding of the commercial real estate landscape and decision-making processes.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate complex, fast-moving markets.
- Excellent relationship building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
