As our new Wind Expert, you will play a key role in assessing wind resources, optimizing wind turbine siting, and supporting project development and operational performance across our wind portfolio.
As Wind Expert, you will contribute to the assessment and development of Eurowind Energy’s wind projects across markets. Depending on your level of experience, you will work either independently or with guidance from senior colleagues on wind resource assessments to evaluate wind and site conditions in line with established methodologies and country-specific environmental and regulatory requirements.
You will be involved in wind turbine siting and layout optimization, where technical requirements, practical constraints, and financial considerations are balanced to deliver robust solutions. Your tasks may include analyzing measured wind data, production data, and SCADA data, and contributing to energy yield assessments, including technical losses and curtailments. For more experienced profiles, this also includes quality assurance and knowledge sharing across projects.
You will support performance evaluations of operating wind farms and help transfer learnings from existing assets into future projects. The role includes documentation and reporting, where you will prepare structured technical material and reports for internal stakeholders, with responsibility increasing in line with experience.
Collaboration is a key part of the role. You will work closely with project managers, colleagues in the Wind Competence Center, and stakeholders across the organization. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, tools, and methodologies, and actively participate in knowledge sharing, presentations, and technical discussions.
You hold a relevant degree within engineering, physics, mathematics, meteorology, or a similar numerate field. You may be a recently graduated professional with a strong technical foundation and motivation to learn, or you may have 5–6 years of experience working with wind energy and renewable project development.
You have experience with, or a strong interest in, wind resource assessment and wind flow modelling, and you are familiar with industry-standard tools such as WindPro, WAsP, or similar software. Experience with SCADA data, CFD tools, or programming languages such as Python or R is considered an advantage, but not a requirement for junior profiles.
You understand the importance of combining technical insight with commercial awareness and are comfortable supporting decision-making processes with clear and well-structured analyses. You are able to manage multiple tasks, communicate progress transparently, and deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines.
On a personal level, you work in a structured and methodical way and take ownership of your tasks. You are curious, proactive, and motivated to develop your skills, whether you are early in your career or already experienced. You value collaboration, contribute positively to team dynamics, and communicate technical topics clearly in English, both in writing and verbally.
