Job Description Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Solar & BESS Procurement, this role supports the company’s growth projects by managing procurement and contract management activities to ensure the on-time delivery of new Solar & BESS assets.

Job Description:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management (Projects): Manage procurement of main contractors (EPC/BOS, studies, services, and other work packages as assigned to him/her) for the full Solar & BESS procurement cycle from project initiation to completion, including procurement planning; framework/MSA development; sourcing; offer evaluation & recommendation; negotiation; contract award; contract management and contract closing;
  • Contract Management: Delivery of ongoing contract management post contract award (claims, variation orders, amendments, defects, notice to correct, LDs). Ensure that contractual obligations are met and coordinate efforts to enhance overall contractual performance;
  • Vendor Relations: Manage relations with suppliers of works and services (with strong focus on local content) from qualification, tendering and selection, to contract negotiations, awarding, and subsequent management;
  • Inter-departmental Coordination: Liaise closely with the Finance, Engineering and Project Management departments to foster and enhance relationships with these key internal stakeholders. Serve as single point of contact for the project/s that have been assigned to him/her. Offer guidance to other departments concerning growth procurement activities;
  • Policies & Systems: Provide support in reviewing and improving the prevailing procurement templates, processes, policies, practices, and systems;
  • Market Intelligence: Assist Procurement Planning with the updating of price and market information for Solar & BESS procurement.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar procurement role, at least 5 years;
  • Capacity to work in an international team;
  • Good understanding of project management;
  • Experience/knowledge about the construction of solar renewable projects;
  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external stakeholders and partners, technical and non-technical).

Education/Background:

  • Degree or Higher in Commercial, Engineering or Renewables preferred.
